First book mail for September is Harrow by Joy Williams. It is the 78-year-old Williams’ first published novel since 2000. It was published by Knopf in September 2021. I have had it on my wish list since reading Tony Domestico’s review in The Atlantic (linked here) around this time last year. In that review, he calls Williams our great prophet of nothingness. That got my attention.
