Today I received a surprise (since I’d forgotten this was on its way) in my mailbox. It’s a tall drink of purple many of you probably recognize, Gilbert Sorrentino’s 1979 novel Mulligan Stew published in this edition by Dalkey Archive in 1996. Dedicated to the memory of Brian O’Nolan (better known by his pen name, Flann O’Brien), this novel is one I’ve never read. I’m diving right in. Please leave a comment below if you’ve read this comic novel. I’d love to hear from you.
